Chapter 4: The Self and Interaction Status- A position in the social hierarchy that comes with a set of expectations.(page 116)Achieved Status- One we have earned through our own efforts or that has been acquired in some other way.(page 116) Dormammu links with this chapter because of his conquest for power. He and his sibling Umar gained there power how ever they could. they killed there own parent for power. Refused to be inferior with anyone else, he slain and even betrayed his own sibling Umar just so he could be above everyone else around him. With all his power, he wouldn't accept anyone as equals Chapter 6: Deviance
Deviance- a behavior , trait, or belief that departs from a norm and generates a negative reaction in a particular group.(page 153) Dormammu believed that regardless of someones status, he should be a superior and show superiority by conquer dimensions. His ego gotten so big that he even believed he as greater then the eternity and Odin. He often felt humiliated when he need assistance from mortals. Dormammu arrogance has gone so powerful that his morals have gone beyond acceptable by anybody Chapter 8: Race and Ethnicity as Lived Experience Discrimination- an action or behavior that results in the unequal treatment of individuals because of their membership in a certain racial or ethnic group. (page 222) Dormammu lacked sympathy for “lesser beings". He believed that if it isn't him, nobody else should be treated in a positive manner. He often said remarks regarding doctor strange being human and is an sign of weakness. He was willing to punish those who betrayed him or failed to carry out his orders, but had no interest in torturing those too weak to challenge his power. "Lesser beings" didn't deserve any real acknowledgment.

Dormammu is the ruler of the dark dimension. He controls the lesser beings of the realm while being an unjust ruler.The beings had no say in what happens in the realm. If Dormammu would have fell out of power for whatever reason, he would of released the mindless ones to kept his power in check so they were forced to obey.

family- a social group whose members are bound by legal, biological, or emotional ties, or a combination of all three.(page 353)
Dormammu has an extreme dysfunctional family. His main family consist of Sinifer(father) and Umar(sister). They have no emotional ties or any true connection between each other. Dormammu's father was slain by him and his sister for their conquest for power. Dormammu betrays his own sister for the every same reason and banished her out the dark dimension . he only keeps in contact with Clea(his nephew) who is coined "princess of the dark dimension".
